Silverstone Camp Kitchen

Food, Fridges, Fuel & F1 Chaos Planner

We are trying to work out how many mouths we can realistically cater for from camp, without turning the caravan fridges into Tetris and Martin into a stressed catering manager.

Important: The kitty is a flat contribution. No discounts for missed days or skipped meals, because that becomes an admin nightmare. This helps cover food, gas, generator hire/purchase contribution and petrol.

1. Who are you bringing?

1a. Camp Setup & Plot Information

We arrive Tuesday around 12 and need to reserve enough space for everyone. This tells us how much space we officially have booked and what will actually be on site.

What will actually be on your pitch?

2. When are you there?

Tick the days you are actually at camp. We’ll use this for the food numbers instead of separate arrival/leaving day dropdowns.

Which camping days are you actually there?

3. Spare Race Ticket Availability

Camping runs Tuesday to Monday, but race tickets are for circuit access Thursday to Sunday. This section is only about unused race guest tickets, not camping days.

Which days is your guest ticket NOT being used?

4. Kitty contribution

5. Meal Plan & Numbers

Please enter how many people from your party are likely to eat each meal. This helps with shopping, fridge space, gas usage, cooking capacity and overall kitty planning.

6. Food Requirements & Menu Feedback

The camp menu is intended to feed a large group efficiently from a campsite kitchen. We are happy to listen to feedback on the meals and can change the menu before shopping if needed.

Once the menu is agreed, we will not be cooking lots of separate versions or alternative meals. If you have dietary requirements that mean you cannot eat the planned menu, you may need to sort your own food instead of joining the kitty.

7. Camp Duties & Teamwork

The camp kitchen only works if everybody chips in. If you are joining the food kitty, we expect everyone to help where they can.

This may include cooking, food prep, washing up, tidying communal areas, water collection, refilling fuel and gas, shopping runs, camp setup and pack down.

Nobody is expected to do everything, but everybody is expected to do something.

8. Fridges, Drinks & Storage

Food gets priority. Drinks and snacks are not included in the kitty. Bottles of juice will be available with meals.

Fridge space is limited and needs to be used sensibly. Please do not fill communal fridges with drinks unless agreed.

9. Water Collection

There is a water supply onsite, but we need to transport water back to camp. We can go on mass and fill water butts, barrels and carriers to reduce trips.

Can you bring anything to make water collection easier?

10. Tea, Coffee & Camp Supplies

Tea and coffee are not decided yet. Drinks and snacks are not included in the kitty.

Can you bring any camp supplies?

11. Final Thoughts

Ready for lights out?

Submit this and Race Control can work out whether camp catering is feasible, what to buy, and how much fridge space we are about to destroy.
